After my 2012 Thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, my life was changed forever. The challenge of big adventure had me hooked. I soon set a goal of sailing alone and without stopping around the world. In 2017-18, I did just that! Since then, I have taken my podcast aboard my Westsail32 as well as in my everyday life. The shows are a mix of my own past experiences along with interviews of everyday people that have a seemingly endless number of stories themselves. Back on the trail and gearing up for the big mountains of NC and the Great Smoky Mountains. Heavy weather, beautiful views and the return of Scuba Steve. The Smokies have pros and cons but we were able to push on through and make our way back to the unregulated woods of the AT.

Time to go back to the good old days of hiking from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian Trail. In 2012 I set out on my first big adventure to Thru-hike the AT. In this show I talk about what the trails is and why I went, how I got there and some of the things I took. The plan is to do a podcast about each state and hopefully inspire a few people to get out in the woods and have some fun.

My first interview is with a fellow adventurer, Walt Inman. Though he is new to boating he started off with a bang when he and his wife took on the challenge of the Great Loop. Aboard his 41 foot trawler, Sea Gypsy, the adventure lasted over ten months and spanned over 6,000 miles. Enjoy
